CLOYNE ART EVENTS

Cloyne is along Hwy. 41, north of Hwy. 7, north of Kingston and Belleville.  Here are some art events for July and August:

CLOYNE STUDIO TOUR and SALE

JULY  15, 16, 17 :  from 10 am.- 5 pm. 

The STUDIO TOUR will take place at Little Pond Road off Highway 41 at
1074 Little Pond Road, Cloyne, & at 1005 Fosters Lane off Road 506 just south of Cloyne.

You are invited to visit the studios of Carla Miedema  and Gaile & Trevor Bethell, and see their impressive new paintings, pen & ink drawings, photography and other art works.  This is a great opportunity for visitors to see the artists’ studios and artists at work.  Enjoy the beautiful countryside on your drive to their studio.
Nature artist, Carla Miedema, enjoys painting, in acrylic & mixed media on canvas, the rugged landscape and wild flowers around her home in Cloyne.  Her intricate drawings of children, homes, and wildflowers are depicted on handmade papers and various other papers.
Gaile Bethell enjoys painting in all seasons, striving to capture the play of light and shadow in the woods at her summer home near Cloyne.  The rhythms and music found in her landscape paintings portray a strong sense of place.
Photographer, Trevor Bethell’s passions are flora, birds, and butterflies.  He also enjoys capturing the varied landscapes of the Precambrian areas of Eastern Ontario and the scenic beauty of the coastal villages of the Atlantic Provinces.

BON ECHO ART EXHIBITION & SALE

JULY 22 : 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.., 
JULY 23: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.,
JULY 24: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  
The Exhibition Theme:    Original Art of
“Canadian Nature, Wildlife or Countryside”
The Friends of Bon Echo Provincial Park invite you to the annual Bon Echo Art Exhibition and Sale taking place at Bon Echo Provincial Park, Hwy. # 41, CloyneON.  This is a juried art exhibition and sale, which takes place in a central location in beautiful Bon Echo Provincial  Park. About 50 artists will have their work on display and for sale.  Make a day of it and enjoy art & demonstrations, BBQ, snake show, and music.
All profits made by the Friends of Bon Echo Park go back into preserving the natural and cultural heritage of the Park.
Included, with admission to the Park, is admission to the Bon Echo Art Exhibition &Sale.

CLOYNE  SHOWCASE 2011 , ART & CRAFT SALE

Friday, AUG. 5: 10 a.m.- 5 p.m.,
Saturday, AUG. 6: 10 a.m.- 5 p.m.,
Sunday, AUG. 7: 10 am.- 4 pm.
You are invited to the annual Showcase of arts and crafts, sponsored by the North Addington Guild, held at the North Addington Education Centre, CloyneON, Highway # 41.   Over 75 exhibitors will be displaying and selling a huge variety of Arts and Crafts, such as wood working, sewing, jewellery, paintings, soaps, quilting, just to name a few. 
Food and refreshments, provided by the Mazinaw Lake Swim Committee, is also available.  All profits from this venture go directly back to the swim program.
All profits made by the Guild are donated to enrich the arts programs at North Addington Education Centre, CloyneON.
Admission is FREE.
